The Experiment
In the GT (gifted & talented) program, Mr.Sanderl assigned us an an assignment to make whatever we wanted on Photoshop, no instructions, nothing, just exploring. I really was excited about this assignment but also worried since it was my first time using Photoshop. I did not have any experience with Photoshop what so ever, so in my head I was thinking oh my gosh what am I going to do :o. But once I started on Photoshop and started trying out different tools I kind of got the idea of it. I have to say Photoshop is pretty cool. The class and I was assigned this assignment by Mr.Sanderl because he wanted see what we knew from experience and see what we can make by just letting our minds go free. The thing that was oh so right about this assignment was that we got to make whatever we wanted to on Photoshop. The thing that was oh so wrong about this assignment was well for me I just didn't know what to make, so I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what most of the tools did, I didn't know how to this, that, all I knew was how to draw. But after a couple of minutes of trying out the different tools of Photoshop, I kind of got the hand of it. And before I knew it, I made this beautiful creation.

Back to School
Hello everyone! I am Leslie Acoba and this is my first blog ever, so I hope this comes out great.
So after summer had come to an end, it was time to go to back to school. My first week of school was alright. My favorite moment so far was when I got to know who I will be working with in my classes, I hope to work with them and get to know the new students as well. I am especially excited to get to know more about the new students who are in my classes. My biggest challenge so far was talking to the whole 6th grade and they're parents on orientation day. Since I am in student council I had to introduce myself and what place I was in, student body vice president :) I remembered that I was so nervous that when it was my turn to talk, I totally forgot what to say. "Good morning students ...(thinking what's it called again, oh yeah parents, duh) parents ... and teachers. I am your student body vice president ... *about to walk away* (oh forgot to say my name) and my name is Leslie Acoba". Well at least I got it over with, but I'm most likely going to have to talk a couple times more in front of the 6th, 7th, and 8th graders - oh no. But thinking about that, I just knew that this school year was going to be different since it is my first year of being in student council. I can still be successful though by focusing on what the teacher is teaching and saying what to do, by not doing homework on the last minute especially projects, by being organized with where I put my stuff so it doesn't get misplaced, and putting effort into my work and just giving it my all! Hopefully by doing these things it will help me reach my goal, earning straight A's for the whole year. Wish me luck!
